It’s social relationships. Which can improve your mental health. I’m not talking about the status or the level of importance which in society that can tend to happen. However, I am talking about how it relates to your overall health. It improves your welfare. Your quality of life. This is done through interaction of another person either by action or influence. It happens when you build a connection with an individual or a community.
You feel a sense of belonging, value, and support. Imagine a pyramid with the words mental, physical and social. They all need to blend together to have the most improvement in your overall health. Social health can be affected by your state of mind (mental health). Our thoughts and emotions can play a role in our physical health.
Being social requires communication which is a process. It must be done either verbally or written. Our actions affect our behavioral part of being social. We tend to hang around with people we strongly identify with. That we have things in common. If you don’t identify with them, you can feel like a fish flipping round on the ground with no water. You not only enhance your own life but, those around you such as family and friends. You tend to build quality relationships instead of quantity. Keep in mind that you want to balance your alone time and time with others.
