Thought I’d share an article in one of the DAV magazines. Tele-emergency care (tele-EC) is a way to be evaluated for medical care in your own home. They will help you evaluate if your experiencing minor or major issues. It is part of the VA Health Connect. A clinical triage nurse will evaluate you. They do this through the phone or video chat. If it’s an emergency the nurse calls 911. She/he will stay on the line with you till help arrives. This type of care was finalized in 2024.
